Physical Therapy

What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is an important part of podiatric treatments and surgery recovery. We use physical therapy to help treat plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel spurs and calluses.
If done early enough, physical therapy can help you avoid injuries, reduce chronic pain, and prevent the need for surgery in the future.
Who Benefits From Physical Therapy?
-
Post-surgery Patients: Post surgery patients are often in pain and have lost the strength to properly support an optimal foot alignment.
-
Pediatric patients: A child with an injury may complain of common symptoms such as, difficulty walking, stiffness, and swelling, due to the accumulation of strain and lack of stretching.
-
Athletes: Sports injuries are extremely common and most can be treated with physical therapy. Putting a lot of strain and pressure on the joints can lead to chronic pain in the future.
