My name is Dr. Emmy Oji. I've been practicing since 2015.

Why did I choose to be a podiatrist? After college, actually I was volunteering at a homeless shelter. There was actually a podiatrist that was there and we spoke a lot and he introduced me to podiatry. I actually asked my brother who's an anesthesiologist, he would tell me that he worked with podiatrists. They were good guys, they worked hard, they did a good job but they had a good work-life balance.

So what is it about my job that I find fulfilling or valuable? It's own little world and you could do every aspect of medicine. You could do podiatric pathology, could do dermatology, do surgery. You could focus on limb preservation or limb salvage. Our patients have had just chronic pains for years, doing certain procedures and then seeing their new outlook in life, it's very rewarding.

Patient Testimonial

My name is Daphne Gill-Dyangko.

Alot of years back I had a seizure in a shower and both of my ankles went backwards. They didn't really heal properly, so I was in a lot of pain and I finally saw my primary care doctor and he referred me over to Dr. Oji. He says we're going to try and do whatever we can so that you know you can have the function of your ankle. You know we're not going to solder your ankles together and all this and I said, "Okay". So kind to me and explain explained everything to me all the procedures that was going to happen so that I wouldn't go in there blind.

He performed it on me and then I had a bad time with the cast because I wanted to get out but I made it and he has just been there. Just like holding my hand basically all the way through and right now, I can walk without any pain. I would most definitely refer people to see Doctor Oji.

It was my first time at his office so I was nervous but after he explained everything and helped educate me on my situation, I felt at ease. His staff is also wonderful! Great place!!
